Many women face obstacles in publishing today. Publish Her is on a mission to disrupt the status quo and remove barriers for authors. We are a female-founded independent publisher dedicated to educating authors and elevating the words, writing and stories of women. We are passionate about amplifying the voices of women of color, women with disabilities and members of the LGBTQ+ community, and we aim to make publishing an attainable, exciting and collaborative process for all.
Publish Her is an official partner member of the Alliance of Independent Authors and a member of the Independent Book Publishers Association, which means our books meet or exceed publishing industry standards. We have been recognized multiple times by Publishers Weekly magazine as a grade A publisher for cover design, book design and typography, editing, and marketing. We specialize in print (hardcover and softcover) and electronic books, workbooks and more.
Writing and publishing a book can be an emotional journey. A manuscript can take years to complete. Most authors spend the majority of their writing time in solitude. And with many publishers, it can take several more years to publish your book. You deserve a publishing experience that is the opposite—that takes months rather than years to bring your project to life; that is an exciting and collaborative process rather than a solo experience; and, most of all, that is a celebration of all you’ve accomplished.
To support women on their publishing journeys, Publish Her provides numerous resources and tools to educate authors, and offers two author-assisted models: Self-Publish Like a Pro and Professional Publishing. We also publish a limited number of titles traditionally.
Self-Publish Like a Pro Workshops and Coaching
Publish Her’s Self-Publish Like a Pro Workshops and Coaching offer. hands-on professional publishing support for do-it-yourselfers. They provide valuable insights for self-publishing your book, from ensuring it’s ready to publish and marketable to navigating ever-changing publishing platforms to publishing and promoting your finished product. Professional Publishing
Publish Her’s Professional Publishing is for authors who’d prefer to have an expert take the lead—it combines the benefits of professional publishing with the flexibility of self-publishing. Traditional Publishing
