Publish Her authors are required to provide a headshot, which will be used to promote your participation in the book project via Publish Her’s e-news and social media (read our privacy and permissions policy here).

The image need not be one from a professional photographer—you may take it yourself or have a friend or family member take it for you. Please ensure your headshot:

• Is a high-res photo (minimum 1000 pixels wide and 300 DPI).
• Is the original file (not a screen grab, a picture of a picture, a download, etc.).
• Includes your head and shoulders and provides enough background space to be cropped in a square or vertical or horizontal rectangle.
• Has an uncluttered background with no other people or random objects.
• Was not created with or altered using AI or photoshop (no cropping, blurring of the background or objects, etc.).
