1. Ensure Your Artwork Meets Specifications

The exact size for “Publish Her Custom Journal” cover artwork is 14.178 inches wide by 10.417 inches wide. We suggest using standard size poster board that’s 17 inches wide by 11 inches high as your canvas. The digitized image will span the front and back cover of your journal, so if you have specific words or images you’d like on the front cover of your journal, position them on the right side of your artwork; images on the left side of your artwork will be on the back of your journal.

2. Digitize Your Artwork

Scan your artwork using a flatbed scanner. Many public libraries have scanners available for public use. If you don’t have access to a scanner, take an overhead photo of it. Place your artwork on a hard, flat surface in a naturally well-lit area—we suggest laying it on the floor so you can stand over it and capture the image in its entirety. Keep in mind that the sun, overhead lights and lamps may create glares or shadows on your artwork, so you may need to reposition it or yourself to get the perfect shot.

3. Submit Your Files

Send a high-resolution file (JPG or PDF) of your artwork to our custom order department. If it meets specifications, you will receive a link to complete your order. Once your order has been processed, in just a few weeks, you’ll have a personalized journal with your digitized artwork on the cover.
