Publish Her and Unstoppable Latina® Announce the Immigrant and Indigenous Women’s Stories Project

This Women’s History Month, Publish Her and Unstoppable Latina announce the launch of the Immigrant and Indigenous Women’s Stories Project, a collaboration that centers the journeys that shaped immigrant, Indigenous, first-generation and refugee women.

Project Details

There is power in telling stories—especially those shaped by identity, belonging and transformation. The project honors the truths, nuances and voices of women too often overlooked, edited down or expected to explain themselves. Twenty-five stories will be featured in “Between Two Worlds,” a forthcoming print anthology from Publish Her. A four-part storytelling workshop will support women in writing their stories and sharing them with the world, potentially for publication online or in the print anthology.

Launched in 2023 to amplify women’s voices, the print anthologies benefit program and publishing grants for underrepresented authors. In 2025, Publish Her supported 226 women in book writing, publishing and marketing. Of those, 145 were women of color—52 percent were Black, 24 percent were Latina, 13 percent were Native, and 11 percent were Asian American and Pacific Islander. Additionally, Publish Her supported 26 LGBTQ+ authors and 16 authors with disabilities.

With “Between Two Worlds,” Publish Her will depart from grant making and donate proceeds to organizations that serve immigrant and Indigenous women. This is the direct result of ICEs occupation of Minneapolis, Minnesota, where Publish Her is based. Publish Her has publicly stated it stands in solidarity with its immigrant neighbors and denounces the criminalization of migration and the terrorization of its community through militarized enforcement.

“Now more than ever, we are committed to using our platform to educate audiences and amplify marginalized voices and stories,” said Chris Olsen, founder and publisher at Publish Her.

Partnership Details

The Immigrant and Indigenous Women’s Stories Project was developed in partnership with Springfield, Massachusetts-based Unstoppable Latina, an award-winning marketing and branding agency that believes every mujer deserves the opportunity to build a thriving business aligned with equity-centered values. Founded by Paulette Piñero, a social entrepreneur with over 16 years of industry experience, the organization is committed to closing the opportunity gap for Latina entrepreneurs with a multicultural and justice-focused approach to marketing.

“At a time when immigrant and Indigenous communities are being criminalized and erased, ‘Between Two Worlds’ affirms that our stories matter and our voices are essential to shaping the future,” said Paulette Piñero.
